Student of the Month
On the first Wednesday of every month, teachers choose students from their classroom to be recognized as Student of the Month. Parents and guests are invited to join us for a school-wide assembly which honors those who have demonstrated good behavior, academic improvement, or other praise-worthy goal of student achievement. Students are acknowledged with a tribute from their teacher and they receive a small token of appreciation for being chosen Student of the Month. In addition, recipients are recognized in the school newsletter, receive a congratulatory letter in the mail from the principal, and have their picture taken and posted on our Student of the Month bulletin board.
School Patrol
Monthly, members of the grade six patrol team are recognized for their dedication.
School Reach
Grade six students have the opportunity to be a member of the School Reach Team that competes at a provincial competition. Students are recognized for their hard work and commitment to this team.
Celebration of Learning
Each Spring CES hosts a Celebration of Learning evening. Students, staff and parents celebrate accomplishments in the areas of Citizenship, Pursuit of Excellence and Love of Learning. A special Stingray Award may also be awarded.
