Since the opening of Calmar Elementary School in September, 2005, we have had numerous presentations involving various aspects of culture including the following:

Author Visits

Every year, our librarian invites a regional children's author, illustrator and/or storyteller to share their passion for literature with our students.  Past presenters include:  Mary Ann Lippiat, Georgia Graham, and Cora Taylor.

Alberta Opera Company

Our school has enjoyed performances by the Alberta Opera Company.  These presentations provide an opportunity for student participation.  Past productions include: "The Frog Prince" and "Cinderella."

The Half-Pints

The Half-Pints basketball team has inspired us with their message of recognizing people for what they can do, rather than for what they can't do. We all laughed with the members during their comical show. 

Ryan Leech

Ryan Leech, mountain bike trickster extraordinaire, has inspired us with his message of following your dreams.
